AN ANALYSIS OF EDUCATIONAL VALUE IN “DUMBO 2019” MOVIE BY TEAM BURTON - 1751800045

The aims of this research are to describe the types of the educational value and function of language in “DUMBO 2019” movie by Team Burton. This research was qualitative research. The data in this research were sentences that contain educational value which take from conversations or dialogue in “DUMBO 2019” movie. The data source in this research is script in “DUMBO 2019” movie. The researcher collected data used documentation and content analysis. The researcher used method triangulation to validity of the data. In this research, the reseacher found out 31 data. Types of educational values in “DUMBO 2019” movie were Values of Being and Values of Givinng. Values of being were, 3 data of honesty, 4 data of brave, 4 data of self-confident, 2 data of self-discipline and 1 datum of purity. Values of giving they were, 3 data of loyalty, 4 data of respect, 2 data of unselfishness, 5 data of love, 3 data of kindness, 1 datum of fair. Functions of language in “DUMBO 2019” movie, they were 11 data of expression functions, 5 data information functions, 5 data of exploration functions, 6 data of persuasion functions, 4 data of entertainment functions.
