Abstract

In the implementation of outpatient administration at the “PKU Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo” Hospital there are various problems, namely the lack of staff in the registration section, the long waiting time for patients, and the registration system via the website is not running optimally. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the administrative service system in admitting outpatients at the “PKU Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo” Hospital.
This type of qualitative research uses a case study approach. The methods used are in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The single variable used is the administrative service system in admitting outpatients at “PKU Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo” Hospital. The subjects of this research were the Head of the Medical Records Room, the Registration Coordinator and the Outpatients. The instruments used were in-depth interviews, observation sheets, writing tools, and voice recording equipment. Data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Triangulation in this research uses source triangulation and method triangulation.
The results showed that administrative services have not been effective as shown by service procedures, facilities, and infrastructure as well as the spirit of cooperation and loyalty of the work group. Because there are still problems with the accuracy of the service schedule, the condition of the service waiting room is not spacious enough, the speed of service officers is lacking, and there are still officers who have not implemented the 3 S.
The conclusion from the three indicators used by administrative services is still less effective. It is recommended that the owner of “PKU Muhammadiyah Sukoharjo” Hospital for administrative services should increase the number of service officers, facilities, and infrastructure and improve the attitude of service officers for more effective administrative services.
