AN ANALYSIS OF REGISTER USED ON SOMETHINC OFFICIAL IN LAZADA APPLICATION - 1951800021

The aims of this research are to describe the linguistics form and the meaning of register found on online shopping term in Somethinc Official at Lazada Application. The type of this research is qualitative research. While the data of this research is sentences that have register term in Somethinc Official feed post, and the data source of this research is Somethinc Official in Lazada application. The researcher took the data from May 1th, 2022 to May 30th, 2023. The researcher used descriptive method to analysis this research. It contained data collection, data reduction, data display, and making a conclusion. While the method used to collect the data are documentation and “Simak Catat” or content analysis.The result of the research can be concluded, the researcher analyzed the register found in online shopping term the linguistics form and meaning.
The researcher found 156 data that have reduced into 27 data needed in this research. The researcher analyzed the data according to the function in the data source and classified them into linguistics form consisted of 16 data of words and 11 data of phrases. There are 10 data as nouns, 2 data as verb, 4 data as adjective, 10 data as noun phrase, and 1 data as adjective phrase. The researcher also analyzed the meaning of register in online shopping term that classified into lexical and contextual meaning. Some of register have same meaning with the dictionary meaning, but some other register have their own meaning and different with the dictionary meaning. The final conclusion of this research is the researcher clasified 17 data lexical meaning and 10 data as contextual meaning in online shopping terms on Somethinc Official store at Lazada application.
