HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP DENGAN PRAKTIK SAFETY RIDING PADA REMAJA DI DESA PRACIMANTORO KECAMATAN PRACIMANTORO KABUPATEN WONOGIRI - 1951700077

Safety riding is a safe driving behavior that can help avoid traffic accidents. If safety riding is not implemented properly, it will cause both material and non-material losses in the form of accidents, minor injuries and serious injuries. Based on the results of a preliminary study with 10 teenagers, it was found that underage motorcyclists did not pay attention to driving safety because they went to school because of the lack of transportation and their parents were busy working. The aim of this research is to analyze the relationship between knowledge and attitudes and safety riding practices among teenagers in Pracimantoro Village, Pracimantoro District, Wonogiri Regency.
The research design uses analytical observational with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study were all teenagers aged 10-18 years. The sample for this research was 89 respondents, with a purposive sampling technique. This research instrument uses a questionnaire. Data analysis used the Chi Square test with a confidence level of 95%.
The research results based on the Chi Square test showed knowledge results (p value=0.000) and attitude results (p value=0.000). These results show that there is a relationship between knowledge and safety riding practices, and there is a relationship between attitudes and safety riding practices among teenagers in Pracimantoro Village, Pracimantoro District, Wonogiri Regency.
It is recommended that the village work together with the local police to socialize the importance of implementing safe riding practices for the safety of yourself and other riders.
