HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN PENCEGAHAN KEPUTIHAN DENGAN PERILAKU PERSONAL HYGIENE REMAJA PUTRI KELAS VIII SMPN 1 NGUTER SUKOHARJO - 1951700057

WHO states that 75% of women will experience vaginal discharge. Cervical cancer is an early symptom of prolonged vaginal discharge. Lack of personal hygiene is one of the causes of vaginal discharge. 90% of class VIII students at SMPN 1 Nguter Sukoharjo lack knowledge about vaginal discharge prevention and personal hygiene behavior. This research aims todetermine the relationship between knowledge of vaginal discharge prevention and personal hygiene behavior in class VIII teenage girls at SMPN 1 Nguter Sukoharjo. Type of quantitative research with a Cross Sectional approach. The population was 105 class VIII teenage girls using Total Sampling techniques. Data analysis used Chi square. The results of the study showed that knowledge of vaginal discharge prevention was good as many as 65 respondents (61.9%), the personal hygiene behavior of young women, most of the respondents had good behavior, as many as 53 espondents (50.5%). There is a relationship between knowledge of vaginal discharge prevention and ersonal hygiene behavior of class VIII teenage girls at SMPN 1 Nguter Sukoharjo with a p value of 0.037 (p < 0.05) The conclusion in this study shows that knowledge of vaginal discharge prevention is related to the personal hygiene behavior of class VIII teenage girls at SMPN 1 Nguter Sukoharjo. The suggestion for SMPN 1 Nguter Sukoharjo is to further improve and add information and provide counseling regarding the reproductive health of female adolescents.
